This role requires deep technical mastery of Oracle Exadata, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), and complex Oracle database upgrades, including end-to-end migrations from 11g to 19c. Local Candidates Only. Onsite interview required.

You will serve as a senior technical authority, driving architectural decisions, mentoring DBAs, and leading strategic initiatives such as cloud migration to OCI, Exadata Cloud Service, and hybrid cloud deployments. This is a role for someone who thrives on solving the hardest database challenges and shaping the future of mission-critical data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Architecture:
· Lead the design and execution of enterprise-wide database modernization initiatives, including upgrades, consolidation, and cloud migration.
· Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions across on-prem Exadata and cloud platforms (OCI, ExaCS, ExaCC).
· Define database standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
· Serve as a senior technical advisor to leadership on database strategy and technology roadmaps.
Database Upgrades & Modernization:
· Own and lead full lifecycle Oracle upgrades from11g to 19c.
· Oversee large-scale database consolidation and platform refreshes.
· Ensure minimal downtime and high reliability during major upgrade and migration events.
Cloud Migration & Hybrid Architecture:
· Lead the migration of on-prem Oracle workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
· Design hybrid architectures integrating on-prem Exadata with cloud-based services.
· Develop migration runbooks, automation scripts, and repeatable patterns for cloud adoption.
Exadata & E-Business Suite Expertise:
· Provide senior-level support for Oracle Exadata, including storage cells, compute nodes, and performance tuning.
· Oversee Oracle E-Business Suite R12 database operations.
· Troubleshoot complex performance issues across Exadata, RAC, ASM, and EBS environments.
Performance Engineering & Optimization:
· Lead advanced performance tuning efforts using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and SQL tuning.
· Optimize high-volume OLTP and batch workloads.
· Resolve deep-rooted performance bottlenecks across SQL, PL/SQL, storage, and system layers.
High Availability, DR & Security:
· Architect and maintain enterprise-grade HA/DR solutions using Data Guard and Active Data Guard.
· Ensure compliance with security standards, encryption, auditing, and regulatory frameworks.
· Lead incident response for critical production issues.
Automation & Engineering Excellence:
· Build automation frameworks using Shell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
· Improve CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
· Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
· Mentor junior and mid-level DBAs.
· Partner with application teams, infrastructure engineers, and cloud architects.
· Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
· 20+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience.
· Extensive experience upgrading Oracle databases from 11g to 19c.
· Deep expertise with Oracle Exadata.
· Strong experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12.
· Proven experience leading cloud migration initiatives.
· Expert-level knowledge of RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and OEM.
· Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux skills.
· Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
· Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or cloud automation frameworks.
· Knowledge of WebLogic or SOA Suite.
· Oracle certifications (OCP, OCM, OCI Architect).
