Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Security Specialist with expertise in Google SecOps to join our team in Chicago, IL. This is a long-term contract position, offering an exciting opportunity to develop and implement advanced detection logic and workflows. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening cybersecurity measures and ensuring robust data protection.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement custom detection logic and workflows tailored for Google SecOps environments.

Identify and address vulnerabilities in database systems and computer files to ensure security.

Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats, providing timely responses to incidents.

Develop and enforce cyber governance policies to maintain compliance with industry standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data privacy and security protocols.

Conduct regular security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of current measures and recommend improvements.

Provide technical expertise in managing and safeguarding sensitive information.

Stay updated on the latest trends in cybersecurity to proactively protect the organization.

Train and support team members in understanding and implementing security best practices.

Prepare detailed reports on security findings and present actionable recommendations.

Requirements

Proven experience in Google SecOps, including developing detection logic and workflows.
Strong knowledge of data privacy and database security principles.
Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity and cyber governance.
Familiarity with managing and securing computer files and sensitive information.
Ability to conduct comprehensive security assessments and implement recommendations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in addressing security threats.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
Commitment to staying current with emerging cybersecurity technologies and practices.
