- One or more cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking a Test Engineer to support cloud systems verification, validation, and testing activities within a federal cloud operations environment.
This role focuses on ensuring system functionality and performance across cloud-based systems, supporting testing efforts across distributed environments, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform verification and validation activities across cloud-based systems
- Execute functional testing, timeline analysis, and trade studies
- Support requirements allocation and interface definition for hardware and software systems
- Analyze system performance and functionality to identify issues and improvements
- Utilize system metrics and trends to improve testing processes and frameworks
- Develop and execute test plans and validation procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and cloud teams to support system integration and testing
- Identify and document defects and support resolution activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in testing, QA, or systems engineering
- Experience supporting system testing and validation activities
- Strong understanding of system functionality and troubleshooting
Certifications
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
- One or more cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal or defense programs
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and distributed environments
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
- Experience analyzing system performance and operational metrics
- Ability to operate in secure and high-compliance environments
