REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Active Secret security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in testing, quality assurance, systems engineering, or related discipline
Experience supporting system testing, validation, and integration activities
DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
One or more cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support cloud systems verification, validation, and integration activities for a federal program.

This role is responsible for ensuring system functionality, performance, and reliability across cloud-based environments. The position supports testing activities across distributed systems and works closely with engineering teams to improve system quality and performance through structured testing methodologies and data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform verification and validation activities across cloud-based systems and applications
- Execute functional testing, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies
- Support requirements allocation and interface definition for hardware and software systems
- Analyze system functionality, performance, and configuration issues
- Utilize operational trends and system metrics to identify improvements in testing frameworks and processes
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and cloud teams to support system integration and testing
- Identify, document, and support resolution of defects and performance issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies and quality assurance processes

Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in testing, quality assurance, systems engineering, or related discipline
- Experience supporting system testing, validation, and integration activities
- Strong understanding of system functionality, performance analysis, and troubleshooting

Certifications
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
- One or more cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal or defense programs
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and distributed architectures
- Experience working with test automation tools and frameworks
- Experience analyzing system metrics to improve performance and reliability
- Ability to support testing in secure and high-compliance environments
