About the Job- We are looking for an experienced Data Architect, Cloud Spanner to join one of our enterprise client engagements. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Data Architect, Cloud Spanner, CDC or Change Data Capture , ETL along with experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments.
Job Description:
- Cloud Spanner Schema & Optimization: Converting Informix schemas to Cloud Spanner and using Spanner-specific structures (e.g., interleaved tables).
- CDC & Bi-Directional Replication: Setting up Change Data Capture and synchronization between Cloud Spanner and local store databases.
- Data Pipelines & Reporting: Building ETL pipelines (Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam) and offloading reporting with Spanner Data Boost.
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Designing failover/failback mechanisms, multi-region setups, and DR runbooks.
- Performance, Sizing & Day-2 Ops: Capacity planning, cost optimization, monitoring, and database observability.
