Description:

 

Develops, proposes and implements EHS processes and/or methods.
Plans and accomplishes roll out of EHS programs or projects, and monitors respective milestone in related organization.
Analyses and monitors adherence to EHS standards in assigned organizations, and prepares regular EHS reporting.
Analyzes and reports on changes in relevant EHS laws and regulations, and recommend changes for internal standards.
Contributes to internal and external EHS audits, in support of accountable EHS officer.
Prepares regular external EHS reporting for official authorities, or for internal stakeholder.
Maintains operational contact to external authorities.
Trains employees and management.
Keeps abreast with all respective regulations and standards in regional or local law. Impacts: Needs professional technological, economical or scientific know how, methods, tools and principles, and applies to differing and variable situations. Needs to solve assigned, non-routine tasks, to contribute to projects or assignments, or to support development of guidelines, methods, tools or business processes.

These positions are expected to contribute to and deliver business processes or detailed technology solutions, in a self-managed and target oriented manner, and thus contributes to team results. Positions focusing on analyzing, developing, testing or implementing processes, technologies and systems in their specific field of expertise, from first principles. Targets are short to medium term (best to be characterized as milestones), and achievements are monitored. They may provide functional advice to and integrate services of operational staff or semi-professional colleagues. Typically these functions review to 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in their field of work and qualification. Experience: 2+ years or Master Entry. Knowledge: Good knowledge in a technical field or business method including the basic theoretical background. Develops basic business understanding. Contributes to team effort, awareness of expected value add. May improve processes, business methods or technical components

Job Description

The EHSMiP supports the business throughout the PM life cycle to assure compliance with applicable internal and external EHS-related rules & regulations to prevent EHS-related hazards and risks.

This includes supporting the PM or Site Manager in planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting and continuous improvement. The EHSMiP establishes the EHS plan, manages its implementation and has the authority and responsibility to intervene/escalate in case of non-conformance.

Planning:

 Identifies EHS-related statutory requirements, rules & regulations and EHS aspects.
 Performs risk assessments and defines mitigation measures.
 Provides input for tender/bid phase with regard to costs (EHS budget) and EHS risks.
 Supports PM to define EHS-related requirements and responsibilities to be integrated in the customer contract.
 Develops emergency management concept.
 Develops EHS plan.
 Provides EHS-related requirements to the project procurement manager which are to be considered in the contractor selection.

Implementation:
 Supports PM to ensure that required EHS-related permits, authorizations, certificates are available and authorities have been notified as necessary.
 Implements a training concept that fulfills all EHS-related training requirements.
 Ensures that requirements of the EHS plan are known by all relevant stakeholders.
 Reviews safe work method statements/risk assessments of contractors.
 Liaises in alignment with PM with customer/contractor EHS representatives in regard to project execution and onsite EHS issues.

Monitoring and Reporting:
 Conducts regular site inspections to identify risks, and defines corrective measures.
 Provides regular EHS reports to the project and/or site manager and BU/Lead Country to ensure full operational transparency.
 Ensures all incidents are investigated and recorded and appropriate measures are defined, implemented and monitored.
 Plans and conducts assessments

Notes:
7AM-5PM
The candidates must have electrical construction experience in the substation environment or adjacent industries. They should have education and certification with an understanding of the travel requirements.  This role is 75% project, or productive and 25% remote
