Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer for an onsite position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a full-time employee. This role is responsible for the detailed technical design and development of software solutions, primarily focusing on API development. As a hands-on developer within an agile crew, the ideal candidate will be instrumental in a long-term project to replace a critical third-party risk application. This position involves writing, testing, and deploying high-quality code while also coaching junior team members.
Responsibilities: - Provide detailed technical design and hands-on development of software solutions
- Work with an agile crew to understand user stories and meet acceptance criteria
- Write, test, and deploy high-quality code
- Maintain and debug existing software to correct errors and improve performance
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation
- Modify software to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces
- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software
- Coach junior team members as needed
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience

Pay range: $56.68 - $64.68 per hour
