Description:
Position Summary

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. This role requires hands-on experience with HVAC systems, electrical components, and general building maintenance. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-focused, and capable of working independently to resolve maintenance issues.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, breakers, and equipment controls
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and building systems
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
  • Maintain facility infrastructure, including plumbing, fixtures, doors, and structural components
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility procedures
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records
  • Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facility maintenance or industrial maintenance
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
  • Electrical experience, including basic wiring, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC certification or related technical training
  • Electrical certification or trade school education
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and preventative maintenance programs
