Summary

Role: Python Backend Engineer (AWS & Identity Integration)

Location: 100% REMOTE

Duration: 24+ Months

W2 Only -

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens, s, STEM OPT, OPT-EAD and -EAD preferred, all valid work authorizations may apply.

Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Or related field

Must Have:

Python, AWS, Lambda

Azure Active Directory/Entra ID

Required Skills

4+ years of Python backend development
Strong experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and serverless architecture
Hands-on experience with REST API development and microservices
Experience with authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT)
Azure AD / Entra ID integration experience
Familiarity with AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge)
Understanding of Docker and containerized deployments

Summary
Looking for a Python backend engineer with strong AWS serverless experience and solid knowledge of authentication and identity integrations. Ideal candidates have built scalable APIs, worked with event-driven systems, and handled secure authentication using modern protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
Build and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway
Design and manage event-driven architectures using S3, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge
Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and JWT
Integrate applications with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
Develop RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions
Collaborate on cloud-native architecture and deployment strategies

Ideal Candidate
Experience building secure, scalable backend systems in cloud environments
Exposure to both AWS (primary) and Azure environments
Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts
Ability to work in distributed, event-driven architectures
Comfortable working in fast-paced, production environments
