TEKsystems Inc. is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Telecommunications Technician to support projects across the Greater Nashville area. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience in low-voltage and structured cabling environments while working with an industry-leading organization. The role offers strong potential for extension or long-term placement.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for installing and supporting telecommunications infrastructure while ensuring quality, safety, and performance standards are met.
Key Responsibilities Include:

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications and low-voltage systems
• Pull, terminate, and test Cat5 and Cat6 cabling
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Assist with installation of CCTV, access control, and security systems
• Configure and support basic telecom/network devices
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
• Follow all safety guidelines and industry best practices
• Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge or hands-on experience with cabling or low-voltage systems
• Familiarity with routers, switches, and structured cabling environments
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience with VoIP or PBX systems
• Technical certifications

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
