Description
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow developer to lead and oversee technical projects within the platform. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. Based in Blue Ash, Ohio, this position offers the opportunity to shape and optimize ServiceNow applications while mentoring less experienced team members.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow applications and modules tailored to organizational needs.
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced developers, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver high-quality solutions.
Customize workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts to meet specific client requirements.
Monitor platform stability and performance, proactively identifying and implementing optimization strategies.
Stay informed about ServiceNow updates and recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve functionality.
Document technical specifications, system architecture, and deployment processes to ensure clarity and consistency.
Ensure the scalability of the ServiceNow platform through proactive planning and development.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system reliability.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development.
Proven ability to communicate effectively in client-facing roles, including presentations and requirements gathering.
Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity is highly preferred.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required; additional certifications are highly desirable.
Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Ajax.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively solve complex technical challenges.
