Pay Rate: $40 $48/hr on W2Interview Process: 2 Step Video Interview + Onsite Final Interview
Must Haves:
Must have hands on experience with AV (audio visual) equipment/technology.
Experience installing, operating and troubleshooting AV equipment.
Any experience with broadcasting operation, video or content creation is a huge plus
Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on AV Technician / Broadcast Operator to support the FEMA Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) program. This role focuses on operating and maintaining audio-visual and broadcast systems used for live and recorded engagements including demonstrations, podcasts, meetings, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor broadcast and AV equipment including cameras, audio mixers, video switchers, and control systems.
Setup, configure, and operate equipment for live broadcasts and recordings.
Ensure high-quality audio and video output during live events, meetings, demonstrations, and recordings.
Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV and broadcast systems.
Provide real-time technical support during live events and resolve technical issues quickly.
Collaborate with government and private sector partners supporting emergency communications.
Maintain logs, documentation, and operational records of AV and broadcast activities.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers when needed.
Assist with training staff and interns on AV and broadcast systems.
Stay updated on latest AV and broadcast technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with Audio Visual (AV) equipment and broadcast technology.
Experience installing, operating, and troubleshooting AV systems.
Experience operating cameras, audio mixers, video switchers, and AV control systems.
Strong understanding of audio/video signal flow, cabling, connectivity, and distribution.
Experience supporting live broadcasts, streaming platforms, or live event production.
Familiarity with broadcast automation systems and AV networks.
Experience with presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote.
Ability to collaborate with executive stakeholders and technical teams.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
