Job Title: Supply Chain / Order Management Specialist
Location: Forest City, IA
Duration: 1-Year Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $18.75 – $20.68 per hour
Shift Availability
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (6 openings)
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (1 opening)
- Overnight Shift: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (1 opening)
Position Overview
The Supply Chain / Order Management Specialist is responsible for managing intercompany orders, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring efficient coordination across supply chain functions. This role operates under general supervision, following established procedures while contributing to best practices within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage intercompany (international) orders between internal plants and distribution centers, including:
- Order entry
- Customer inquiries
- Change requests
- Exception handling
- Investigate order status and resolve:
- Shipment discrepancies
- Back-order situations
- Support and manage reporting processes for:
- Demand planning
- Order management
- Inventory management
- Financial reporting
- Follow defined procedures across supply chain functions such as:
- Supply planning
- Warehousing
- Transportation
- Inventory/materials control
- Import/export
- Utilize tracking systems to monitor progress and report results
- Work independently with periodic review of output
- Share best practices within the team
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Basic knowledge of supply chain functions, including:
- Supply planning
- Warehousing
- Transportation
- Inventory/materials control
- Import/export
- Experience with relevant systems and tools, such as:
- SAP-ERP
- JDA
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills:
- Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly and effectively
- Basic analytical skills:
- Interpret data
- Evaluate variables
- Draw conclusions
- Assess alternative solutions
