Description

Summary

As Electrical Engineer, you will lead the technical strategy and quality management for all electrical systems within large-scale manufacturing fab projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the power distribution, backup systems, and electrical infrastructure meet the rigorous demands of a modern production environment while strictly adhering to U.S. safety standards. This role acts as the primary technical bridge between the Seoul HQ's requirements and U.S.-based utility providers, designers, and vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Electrical Design & Strategy: Lead the comprehensive review of electrical system designs to ensure alignment with owner requirements and production system integration.
  • Utility & Power Coordination: Direct coordination with U.S. utility providers to secure power supply agreements and manage the technical requirements for site connection.
  • Technical Vendor Management: Review and approve deliverables from external electrical engineering firms and vendors, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to the project timeline.
  • Permitting & Compliance: Facilitate electrical inspections and serve as the technical lead for Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) during the permitting process.
  • Infrastructure Oversight: Manage the design and implementation of medium/low voltage distribution, grounding, lighting, and critical backup power systems.
  • Financial & Schedule Control: Oversee electrical-related CAPEX and monitor project milestones to prevent schedule slippage.
  • Global Communication: Support seamless decision-making and technical reporting between the HQ leadership and the U.S. project site.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering, specifically for heavy industrial or manufacturing facilities.
  • Standards Expertise: In-depth understanding and practical application of NEC (National Electrical Code) / NFPA 70.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Expertise in Medium and Low Voltage (MV/LV) distribution systems.
    • Significant experience in power distribution, grounding, and emergency backup system design.
    • Ability to review complex electrical infrastructure for manufacturing "fabs," including production system integration.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in utility contract negotiation support and vendor quality management.
  • Communication: Fluent in English for technical documentation, contract discussions, and coordination with local U.S. stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering is highly preferred.
  • U.S. Project Experience: Direct experience in U.S.-based industrial plant construction or manufacturing projects.
  • Regulatory Success: A proven track record of successfully navigating electrical permitting and AHJ inspections in the United States.
  • Production Knowledge: Advanced understanding of how electrical systems must integrate with automated production lines and manufacturing equipment.
