Role Overview
This position is for a Pegasystems Pega Infinity Lead System Architect (LSA) responsible for designing, building, and maintaining technically complex frameworks to support application development. The LSA will mentor application developers on best practices, research new technologies, and provide recommendations. This role involves responsibilities across DevOps and Agile areas, including release management and source code management, while collaborating closely with IT colleagues and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the ongoing development, support, and maintenance of multiple framework components, including thick-client, web, services, and enterprise application integration.
- Provide cross-functional support for performance issues and application errors, helping to determine the root cause.
- Assist in the development of architectural designs and provide guidance to internal and external resources on the use of frameworks and technology.
- Support the DevOps release management process in an agile environment and assist with all aspects of release management.
- Act as a focal point for cross-functional items, providing expertise on agile methodologies and ensuring the implementation of separation of duties.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities with team members, mentor others, and manage release planning and resource allocation.
- Balance speed to market, product quality, and cost in the design and implementation of technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience:- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 7+ years of application development experience in a PRPC/Pega Infinity environment.
Technical Skills:- A strong understanding of HTTP, REST, and GraphQL.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years developing applications using Enterprise Application Integration tools.
- Experience writing DB2 and/or PostgreSQL stored procedures.
- 1+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
- 1+ years of experience working with offshore providers.
- Knowledge of containerization and experience with Docker Containers.
- Experience with development and deployments with AWS, Azure, or Pega Cloud.
- Familiarity with GIT, Jenkins, and Terraform.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration using EKS, or Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with Javascript, C#, and development of architectural designs using modeling techniques (UML, flowcharting).
- Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM.
Compensation
Pay Range: $70-$75/hour on W2
