Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This is a hands-on development role focused on migrating critical applications and business processes from existing platforms to a new strategic platform. The successful candidate will be involved in a large-scale transformation project, utilizing modern technologies to design, develop, test, and support the migration while collaborating with multiple technology teams.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and support the migration of applications and business processes to the strategic platform
- Collaborate with multiple technology teams to ensure a smooth transition
- Influence architecture and platform adoption across the organization
- Take ownership of deliverables and clearly communicate status, risks, and technical concepts
Requirements: - 10+ years of experience in end-to-end application development using core Java 11+ (Multi-threading, Collections, Functional Programming, etc)
- Experience with modern frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate
- Strong understanding of database design concepts, SQL, query tuning, and optimization
- Proven ability to profile, optimize memory, and tune data-intensive, large-scale enterprise applications
- Experience with Apache Spark and Hadoop
- Strong coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging technical and business needs
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline
Desired skills: - 5+ years of experience with Frontend UI development (HTML5, AngularJS, Backbone.js, Bootstrap)
- Experience with large-scale distributed ecosystems and cloud computing architectures

- Degree from a top-tier university
Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
