Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Developer for an onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves hands-on application development for a strategic regulatory capital reporting and analysis platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple technology teams to implement target architecture, define business logic for Basel rules-based capital ratios, and migrate legacy systems using Python, SQL, and big data technologies.
Responsibilities: - Perform hands-on application development to support current and target processes
- Collaborate with multiple technology teams to implement the target architecture and migrate to the strategic platform
- Elaborate requirements for data sourcing elements for calculating risk-weighted assets
- Define business logic for computing financial elements and process flows for generating Basel rules-based capital ratios
- Ensure compliance with regulatory capital reporting under Basel rules
- Develop a stable, scalable, and sustainable capital reporting and analysis platform
- Perform tuning and optimization of data-intensive applications
Requirements: - Strong background in Basel regulations, Basel 3 endgame, FRTB, and SACCR
- Ability to read Python and translate it into logical components
- 5+ years of SQL programming experience, preferably with Oracle Exadata
- Strong data analytical skills
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop
- Prior experience working on tools like Alteryx or Trifacta
Desired skills: - BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline
- Background in capital calculations and regulatory compliance
- Experience with agile methodologies and SDLC processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
