Genesis10 is currently seeking a Core Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12-month contract opportunity. In this role, you will work side-by-side with business partners and technology platform managers to ensure high-quality software is built and delivered. You will be responsible for understanding business requirements to build and enhance application components, support testing, and assist with production deployment and transition to the support team.
Responsibilities: - Work side by side with business partners and technology platform managers to ensure expected quality software is built to serve our customers and clients
- Understand business requirements to build/enhance application components to support the requirement
- Enable the testing organization to certify the application
- Support the technology infrastructure team in production deployment and transitioning to the support team
Requirements: - 6-8 years of relevant IT development experience
- Strong Server side Core Java
- Knowledge in SOAP and Restful Webservices
- Relational and object-oriented database experience
- Experience with Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, and Ansible
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, well organized, and goal oriented
Desired skills: - Knowledge in Capital and Financial Regulatory Markets
- Knowledge and strong inclination to learn Python
Pay range: $74.51 - $82.51 per hour
