# Position Overview

The Senior SDET Architect / Automation Architect will be responsible for driving automation strategy implementation, enterprise framework modernization, and scalable automation adoption initiatives across enterprise application platforms.

This is a highly hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in automation framework development, enterprise automation architecture, and modernization initiatives involving Playwright, Selenium, Java, and API automation technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong software engineering fundamentals along with the ability to lead technical teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive enterprise automation initiatives from strategy through execution.

# Scope of Work

The Senior SDET Architect / Automation Architect will be responsible for:

* Designing and enhancing enterprise automation frameworks
* Leading automation modernization and Playwright migration initiatives
* Driving automation strategy implementation across enterprise teams
* Supporting enterprise automation governance and best practices
* Collaborating with engineering, QA, and delivery leadership teams
* Mentoring automation engineers and technical teams
* Supporting automation scalability and framework optimization initiatives
* Defining automation standards, processes, and implementation approaches
* Supporting automation adoption across enterprise application platforms
* Driving measurable automation outcomes and efficiency improvements

# Required Skills / Experience

The candidate must have the following skills and experience:

* 10–15+ years of overall experience in SDET / Automation / Quality Engineering
* Strong hands-on experience with Java automation
* Strong Selenium automation framework expertise
* Experience with Playwright automation and modernization initiatives
* Strong API automation / API testing experience
* Strong enterprise automation framework development experience
* Experience driving automation strategy implementation
* Experience leading enterprise automation transformation initiatives
* Strong software engineering and automation architecture fundamentals
* Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills
* Experience managing technical teams and enterprise delivery coordination

# Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

* Mobile automation / mobile testing experience
* Financial services or enterprise banking domain experience
* CI/CD automation integration experience
* Experience with enterprise agile delivery environments
* Experience with automation governance and quality engineering transformation initiatives

# Education

* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred
