SDET Engineer

# Position Overview

The SDET / Automation Engineer will be responsible for supporting enterprise automation initiatives including UI automation, API automation, framework enhancement, automation execution, and testing support activities across enterprise applications. The role requires strong hands-on automation engineering experience along with the ability to work collaboratively with engineering, QA, and delivery stakeholders within an enterprise environment. While the role is primarily automation-focused, candidates should also be comfortable supporting selective manual testing activities where required.

# Scope of Work

The SDET / Automation Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and executing automation test scripts
  • Supporting enterprise automation framework enhancement initiatives
  • Participating in Playwright migration and modernization efforts
  • Supporting API automation and UI automation testing activities
  • Collaborating with QA, engineering, and delivery teams across projects
  • Supporting automation execution within agile delivery environments
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects
  • Participating in test planning, automation reviews, and release validation activities
  • Supporting testing efforts for enterprise-scale applications
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality engineering organization

# Required Skills / Experience

The candidate must have the following skills and experience:

  • 5–8 years of overall experience in SDET / Quality Engineering / Test Automation
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java automation
  • Strong Selenium automation experience
  • Experience with Playwright automation
  • Experience with API Automation / API Testing
  • Experience working with enterprise automation frameworks
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and automation best practices
  • Experience working within enterprise agile delivery environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills
  • Strong collaboration and team-oriented mindset

# Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

The following skills and experience are preferred:

  • Mobile automation / mobile testing experience
  • Financial services or enterprise banking domain experience
  • CI/CD automation exposure
  • Experience with TestNG, Cucumber, Jenkins, or similar automation tools
  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization initiatives
