Summary

Role: New Product Development Quality Engineer

Contract Length: 6 months, will continue to extend/convert based on performance

Location: Tulsa, OK - 3 days in office, 2 days remote - remote days can't be back to back and can't be Friday and Monday.

Client: Confidential for now

Pay: $50 W2

 

Responsibilities:

Own advanced quality planning efforts for new product introductions (NPI) and significant process changes.

Create and execute DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and inspection plans to surface and reduce risk early in the lifecycle.

Support validation/qualification and launch readiness, including first article inspections (FAI), PPAP, and other launch quality deliverables.

Partner with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and supply chain to define critical-to-quality (CTQ) features and the required process controls.

Maintain and control quality documentation to ensure alignment with launch and production readiness expectations.

Proactively identify and drive actions to lower design and process risk using quality planning and formal risk assessments.

Lead cross-functional reviews of quality deliverables, risk mitigation plans, and validation outcomes.

Track, analyze, and communicate launch-related quality metrics with an emphasis on defect prevention.

Drive continuous improvement activities tied to quality planning and launch execution.

Help implement standard procedures and best practices for quality assurance during product development and manufacturing ramp-up.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a closely related discipline.

5+ years in advanced quality planning, new product development, or a similar quality engineering function.

Demonstrated experience leading APQP deliverables in manufacturing, including DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and inspection plans.

Hands-on background supporting or leading validation efforts, FAI, PPAP, and launch quality deliverables.

Strong working knowledge of risk assessment methods, quality standards, and failure mode analysis.

Supplier-facing experience (for example supplier quality or supplier part integration) is preferred.

Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
