Software Engineer (Mechatronics)

Job Duties:

• Research, design, develop, or test automation, intelligent systems, smart devices, or industrial systems control.
• Contribute to both development of new features and maintenance of existing functionality in Cadence system-level multi-physics solution.
• Develop computational mechanics numerical solvers for electric-thermal-stress coupling system as an integration with Cadence Integrated Circuit (IC), package, and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) implementation platform.
• Implement and improve finite element-based solver with high performance computing code.
• Develop machine learning (ML) models and explore artificial intelligence (AI) solution to complicated packaging problems in semiconductor industry.
• Conduct validation and verification tests on Cadence Celsius Solver.
• Perform thermal-stress analysis on IC packaging, PCB, chip design simulation from electronic design automation (EDA) tool.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Multi-thread computing, General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units (GPGPU) and scientific computing
• Computational mechanics and finite element analysis
• Design and development of High-Performance software using C++ programming language
• Solid mechanics, thermal analysis, and structural analysis
• Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
• Statistics, data analysis, and data mining

The annual salary range for California is $158,621 to $253,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
