Location: Plano, TX (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12-month W2 contract with potential extension
Pay Rate: $55–$63/hour (based on experience)
Client: Fortune 100 Financial Services Organization (via Russell Tobin)

Overview

Russell Tobin is supporting a leading global financial services organization in hiring experienced Java Developers to help build and modernize next-generation core platforms. This is a hands-on development role focused on scalable, cloud-based, event-driven systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications
• Build and enhance event-driven microservices architectures
• Own the full software development lifecycle (coding, testing, deployment)
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

What We’re Looking For

< data-end="1125" data-start="1095">Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with Java
• 5+ years of experience with Spring Framework
• 2+ years of cloud experience (AWS preferred)
• Strong experience designing and building event-driven microservices
• Experience working with relational databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications (AWS preferred)
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Strong understanding of design patterns and software architecture
• Experience in the financial services industry
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases

Interview Process

• 1st Round: Coding and Technical Video Interview (MS Teams)
• 2nd Round: Onsite Technical Discussion
