About the Job:
The Scrum Master Lead is a senior Agile delivery leader responsible for enabling high-performing Scrum teams while driving Agile maturity across programs, departments, or portfolios. This role goes beyond a single team, focusing on organizational impediment removal, Agile coaching, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement at scale. The Scrum Master Lead acts as a servant leader, coach, and trusted advisor to delivery teams and leadership.

What you will do:
Key Responsibilities:

Agile & Scrum Leadership
  • Serve as Lead Scrum Master across multiple Agile teams or a complex program
  • Facilitate and oversee Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) while ensuring consistency and quality
  • Coach Scrum Masters and delivery teams on Agile principles, self-organization, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure Scrum and Agile frameworks are understood, adopted, and effectively executed

Program & Organizational Enablement
  • Identify and remove cross-team, program-level, and organizational impediments
  • Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and Delivery Leads to improve value flow and predictability
  • Support Agile delivery in hybrid environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Waterfall as applicable)
  • Drive alignment across dependent teams and shared services

Coaching & Leadership
  • Act as an Agile coach for teams, Scrum Masters, and leaders
  • Guide leadership in fostering an environment that supports fast value delivery, quality, and customer focus
  • Mentor junior and mid-level Scrum Masters and contribute to Scrum Master communities of practice
  • Lead by example in adopting an Agile mindset and behaviors

Metrics, Transparency & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and monitor Agile metrics (velocity, flow, predictability, team health)
  • Use data and information radiators to drive transparency and informed decision-making
  • Facilitate retrospectives at team and program levels to ensure actionable improvements
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery health

What you will bring:
**Must Haves Requirements:
  • Banking and/or Financial Services Industry Experience
  • Experience facilitating and overseeing Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) while ensuring consistency and quality
  • Manage Scrum and Agile frameworks and ensure they are understood, adopted, and effectively executed
  • Agile Coach expertise for teams, Scrum Masters, and leaders
  • Experience defining and monitoring Agile metrics (velocity, flow, predictability, team health)
  • Expertise in proactively managing risks, dependencies, and delivery health
  • Experience in Agile delivery, including senior or lead Scrum Master roles

Additional Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Scrum and Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
  • Experience supporting multi-team programs or enterprise-scale initiatives
  • Proven ability to coach teams and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent)

Education
