Location: Remote

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Commerce Cloud Platform Architect with deep technical expertise in solution design, hands-on development, and enhancement of the SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) platform. This role provides end-to-end solutioning and delivery, with a strong focus on enhancing backend capabilities and integrating SAP Commerce with multiple internal and third-party systems.

The Architect will oversee and provide consulting for the company's eCommerce platform strategy, including platform adoption plans, application design, and ongoing management. Expertise in SAP Commerce is required, along with a strong understanding of other eCommerce platforms and cloud technologies.

Role Overview

This role is critical for a key client in the consumer electronics industry, supporting their eCommerce initiatives on the SAP Commerce Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong architectural skills, and hands-on development experience.

This position requires comprehensive knowledge of:
  • SAP Commerce Cloud (version 2211 and above)
  • SAP Spartacus


Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture
  • Lead the architecture and design of the SAP Commerce Cloud platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Develop and implement architecture strategies that leverage SAP Commerce Cloud capabilities.

Integration Strategy
  • Ensure seamless integration across systems, with a focus on data flow, security, scalability, and process automation.
  • Design and oversee integrations with internal systems and third-party platforms.

Technical Solutions & Code Quality
  • Define, set, and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Provide hands-on development support and solution design.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and mentor development teams.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide expert-level consultation on SAP Commerce platform capabilities.
  • Design customizations and advise on best practices, potential risks, and future enhancements.


Mandatory Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience as an Architect with proven ability to design and implement high-level, multichannel eCommerce architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to successful project delivery.
  • Strong background in mid to large-scale B2C SAP Hybris / SAP Commerce Cloud implementations.
  • Proven experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with third-party systems, having led 5-7 integration projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Java Enterprise and modern web technologies.


Preferred / Desired Skills
  • Expertise in SAP Commerce Cloud platform architecture and backend development.
  • Experience with SAP Spartacus storefront.
  • Understanding of other eCommerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, including:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 environments.
