Senior Data Warehousing / ETL Consultant

Project: Mainframe → Workday Migration
Client: City of Philadelphia. Though the position is remote Candidate should be local to Philadelphia.

TechAGI Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Migration / ETL Consultant to support the migration of legacy Mainframe data into Workday. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and loading, along with hands-on knowledge of ETL and Workday data conversion tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract and migrate data from Mainframe systems into Workday.
• Develop source-to-target mappings and data transformation rules.
• Design and implement ETL processes for large-scale data migrations.
• Perform data cleansing, standardization, deduplication, and validation.
• Develop and execute Workday data conversion/load processes.
• Perform data reconciliation between legacy systems and Workday.
• Identify and resolve data quality and migration issues.
• Support mock conversions, testing cycles, cutover, and production migration.
• Work closely with Workday functional, technical, business, and Mainframe teams.
• Develop SQL queries/scripts for data analysis and validation.
• Maintain migration documentation, mapping specifications, and reconciliation reports.
• Coordinate migration activities, track deliverables, manage dependencies, and communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Support project planning, execution, and coordination across multiple technical and business teams.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Data Migration and ETL.
• Experience migrating data from Mainframe/legacy systems to Workday.
• Strong knowledge of Workday data conversion and integration concepts.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, Alteryx, or similar tools.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and data quality validation.
• Strong project coordination, project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, dependencies, risks, and deadlines in a large-scale migration environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred / Plus Skills

• Strong project coordination and management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, functional, and business teams.
• Prior State Government, Local Government, or Public Sector experience is highly preferred and considered a plus.
