Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Strong experience in information security and data platform security architecture.
  • Deep expertise in securing data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM, RBAC, ABAC, and least-privilege access models.
  • Experience with encryption, data masking, tokenization, and secrets management.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with security and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Bash.
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical risks into business context.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in information security.
  • 4+ years of experience in data platform or cloud data security architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and manage end-to-end security frameworks for data platforms.
  • Define and enforce data security standards including access control and encryption.
  • Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for data platforms.
  • Design and implement IAM strategies and access control models.
  • Establish data classification policies and security tiers.
  • Embed security across the entire data lifecycle.
  • Define security requirements for cloud-native data services.
  • Design audit logging, monitoring, and lineage tracking solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security frameworks.
  • Mentor engineering teams and provide security expertise.
  • Evaluate and recommend security tools and vendors.
  • Communicate security strategies and risks to stakeholders.

Should Have:

  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud security certifications.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with data governance tools.
  • Experience in regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies.
