Mid-Level / Senior Mobile Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote Mid-Level/Senior Mobile Developer to join their team, with expertise across modern mobile platforms and a passion for building customer-facing digital experiences at scale. The ideal candidate is a cross-platform engineer who can contribute across iOS, Android, Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), and backend services while leveraging AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery and innovation. This role requires strong technical depth, collaborative problem solving, and a desire to work across the mobile ecosystem rather than within a single technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
* Build reusable cross-platform features using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
* Develop and integrate backend services and BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) components that support mobile applications
* Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused experiences
* Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, maintainability, and performance
* Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality
* Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentoring activities
* Support the adoption and expansion of modern mobile platform capabilities across multiple product teams
* Work within agile, highly collaborative engineering pods focused on rapid delivery and continuous improvement
* Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to engineering practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
* 5+ years of software engineering experience with modern mobile applications
* Hands-on experience developing native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
* Hands-on experience developing native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
* Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and backend services
* Experience working in Agile development environments
* Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and mobile best practices
* Strong communication and collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
