Senior Workday Functional Test Lead (Only W2)

Mandatory Skills

Lead backlog recovery, SIT, regression, UAT, defect triage and release readiness across Financials, Accounting Center, Expenses, banking, reconciliation, Payroll, LMS and integrations.

Test Strategy & Planning

• Define and execute comprehensive Workday testing strategies for implementation, transformation, and support programs.
• Develop test plans, test schedules, test scenarios, and test execution roadmaps.
• Establish testing governance, quality standards, and release readiness criteria.
• Collaborate with business, functional, technical, and integration teams to align testing objectives.

Functional Testing Leadership

• Lead testing activities across Workday modules including:
• Human Capital Management (HCM)
• Recruiting
• Talent & Performance
• Compensation
• Benefits
• Payroll
• Time Tracking
• Absence Management
• Financial Management
• Procurement
• Expenses
• Validate business processes, configurations, security roles, and workflows.
• Ensure complete coverage of functional and business requirements.

Test Execution & Defect Management

• Manage SIT, UAT, Regression, Integration, and Post-Deployment Validation testing.
• Coordinate test execution across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Lead defect triage sessions and prioritize issue resolution efforts.
• Track defect lifecycle and ensure timely closure of critical issues.

Integration Testing

• Validate inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and third-party applications.
• Coordinate testing of:
• Workday Studio Integrations
• EIB Interfaces
• Core Connectors
• Payroll Interfaces
• Benefits Vendor Integrations
• REST and SOAP APIs
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reconciliation across integrated systems.

UAT & Business Readiness

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing activities with business stakeholders.
• Prepare test scripts and assist business users during execution.
• Support training, readiness assessments, and go-live preparation.
• Ensure business sign-off and successful transition into production.

Quality Governance

• Establish testing KPIs, quality metrics, and reporting dashboards.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify testing gaps.
• Provide regular status updates to project leadership and steering committees.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and testing best practices.
