Position: Workday Functional and Data Tester

Location: Remote

Duration: 12+ months contract

Job Description:

Functional Testing

Execute functional testing across Workday modules including:

o Core HCM

o Recruiting

o Benefits

o Compensation

o Talent & Performance

o Payroll

o Absence Management

o Time Tracking

o Financial Management

o Procurement

o Expenses

Validate business process configurations, workflows, approvals, and security roles.
Review requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to develop test scenarios and test cases.
Perform System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.
Data Validation & Conversion Testing
Validate data migration and conversion activities from legacy systems into Workday.
Perform source-to-target data reconciliation and data quality validation.
Verify employee, organizational, financial, and transactional data accuracy.
Identify and investigate data discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with project teams.
Execute data cleansing validation and post-load verification activities.
Integration Testing
Validate inbound and outbound Workday interfaces.

Support testing of:

EIB Integrations
Core Connectors
Workday Studio Integrations
Payroll Interfaces
Benefits Vendor Interfaces
REST/SOAP APIs
Reconcile integration outputs and ensure accurate data transmission across systems.
Defect Management
Log, track, and retest defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
Participate in defect triage meetings and support root cause analysis activities.
Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and business users to resolve testing issues.
Ensure closure of defects before production deployment.
