Summary

About Mytra:

We're creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We're applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We're focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a "sleepy" industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

About the role

Mytra is excited to grow our manufacturing footprint from our little warehouse, prototype stall build into a proper, industrialized manufacturing operation - and we need an experienced and energetic manufacturing engineering team to do it! Our team is focused on fast iteration and learning, so you'll not only have the opportunity to have your designs built quickly, test them, and improve our product and teams, but also be a part of bringing a concept to full-scale mass production.

As an Industrial Engineer, you'll develop the process, equipment, and factory that produces our bots and structures at scale. Our team works closely with hardware engineering, supply chain, quality, and testing teams to prototype, productionise and deploy manufacturing solutions that help our business grow and meet the exceptional customer demand we have.

What you'll do:

  • Designing and deploying the machine that builds the machine
  • Evaluate the design and develop manufacturing build processes for robotic hardware
  • Calculate, simulate, and test a factory flow that operates at scale; incorporating cross functional metrics and forecasted variability
  • Plan and design manufacturing layouts and facilities for assembly and fabrication of robotic systems and structures
  • Develop and deploy workflows to propagate and maintain a manufacturing execution system (MES)
  • Design and oversee the procurement and installation of new equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and delays to achieve our scaled ramp
  • Brainstorm, justify, and champion simultaneous DFx projects designed to enhance the efficiency of product assembly and manufacturing
  • Work with suppliers to advise and develop various manufacturing technologies; including stamping, welding, assembly and plastics processing

Ideal Candidates

  • +7 years practical experience in manufacturing: you're very comfortable with design for manufacturing, including mechanical, electrical and robotics integration
  • You have experience with designing and deploying semi-automated assembly lines or other manufacturing equipment and systems
  • You are able to manage large information data sets and conduct process analysis to ensure we can achieve our scaling goals
  • CAD software: OnShape or Creo for part design, AutoCAD or similar for layout planning, FlexSim or Tecnomatix for process simulation
  • Uncertainty isn't scary, and you're willing to realize mistakes and pivot
  • You can convey complex ideas and technical concepts to a diverse audience, including technicians and associates building the product
  • Strong project management skills and ability to motivate colleagues in order to reach ambitious goals

Nice to have:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
  • Experience bringing a product from concept to mass-production
  • Experience laying out a factory from scratch
  • Lean or Six Sigma professional certification

A Final Note:

If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply - even if you don't check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we're lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last

Benefits Include:

  • Competitive compensation and equity grants at a high-growth company backed by top-tier VCs
  • Fully subsidized health coverage, including medical (baseline plans), dental, and vision for employees and dependents
  • 401(k) plans and employer-subsidized life insurance
  • Fully subsidized lunch and snacks at HQ-we eat and share stories together at the "long" table
  • Generous PTO and company-paid holidays, including one week over the winter break so everyone can recharge together
  • Voluntary pet insurance, Voluntary Life Insurance, Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity
  • Fully subsidized tax advisory services and education to help you understand your equity
  • Commuter benefits, including a up to $150 monthly commuter benefit
  • Lively, modern combined office and lab space where we rapidly iterate through design, build, and test phases
  • Fully equipped onsite gym and showers at headquarters
