Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

1. Strong experience with structured cabling systems including fiber (SM/MM) and copper (Cat5e/6/6a)

2. Proficiency in cable documentation, labeling standards, and connectivity mapping

3. Handson knowledge of DCIM platforms (Sunbird preferred) for asset, capacity, and connectivity management

4. Ability to maintain accurate patching records, rack elevations, and device templates

5. Strong skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio for rack, floor, and network diagramming

6. Experience mapping NIC ports, switch ports, MAC addresses, and interface roles

7. Understanding of firmware data currency, device models, templates, and configuration accuracy

8. Familiarity with workflow, change management, and MACD processes

9. Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and audit readiness

10. Ability to collaborate with network, server, and data center operations teams

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Maintain complete and accurate structured cabling documentation across fiber and copper plant

2. Update and manage rack layouts, elevations, cabling paths, and network diagrams using AutoCAD/Visio

3. Administer Sunbird DCIM (or equivalent) for asset tracking, capacity planning, and connectivity mapping

4. Document NIC card layouts, including mapping to patch panels, switch ports, MAC details, speeds, and interface type (Prod/Mgmt/iDRAC)

5. Keep device inventory, firmware data, and DCIM model libraries current and compliant

6. Ensure all moves/adds/changes (MACD) are accurately logged and reflected in DCIM

7. Support quarterly/annual audits, compliance checks, and data center governance activities

8. Collaborate with cabling vendors, network teams, and server teams to maintain accurate end to end connectivity maps

9. Maintain device templates, rack layouts, and structured cabling databases for capacity planning and forecasting

10. Provide visual diagrams and documentation for new deployments, expansions, or migrations

Generic Managerial Skills, If any

Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach in identifying and resolving issues

Familiarity with change control processes and ITIL best practices

Experience working in enterprise datacenter environment
