Overview

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator II to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments. This role is responsible for managing servers, cloud platforms, identity systems, and core IT infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain VMware, Windows, and Linux server environments
• Provision and decommission servers as needed
• Administer Active Directory (on-prem) and Azure AD, including users, groups, permissions, and policies
• Support and manage Office 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online)
• Oversee daily operations of core infrastructure (servers, data, voice, and video systems)
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies
• Manage mobile device environments (Intune, Jamf, ManageEngine)
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated incidents
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and standard operating procedures
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for support and project execution
• Manage software and hardware licensing
• Participate in and lead infrastructure-related IT projects
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and reliability
• Mentor junior IT staff and promote best practices in support and operations

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a System Administrator / Network Administrator
• Strong experience with Windows Server (DNS, Group Policy, File & Print Services)
• Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization and Linux systems
• Experience with Active Directory (on-prem & Azure AD), MFA, and Microsoft Intune
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (routing, firewalls, client/server architecture)
• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure environments
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell or similar)
• Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environments
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
• Prior experience mentoring or leading junior team members
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Work Environment & Additional Requirements

• This is a fully onsite role based in Modesto, CA
• Requires in-person interview for final round
• During peak season (approx. July–September), 6-day workweeks may be required
• Role may involve occasional physical activity (lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, etc.)
