We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Deposits Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance across all environments.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform to ensure consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled provisioning.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker to accelerate release cycles while maintaining quality and stability.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to automate infrastructure management, predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, driving efficiency and reducing manual intervention across operations.
  • Develop scripts and automation solutions using Python, Bash, or similar languages to streamline operational tasks, reduce manual effort, and improve system reliability.
  • Explore and integrate AI-powered coding assistants and automation frameworks to enhance development productivity.
  • Partner with software engineers, and platform teams to embed DevOps and AI-driven best practices into the software development lifecycle and support seamless application delivery.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of runbooks, architectural documentation, and operational guides to support team efficiency and institutional knowledge, Document AI automation workflows and share learnings to promote adoption across the broader team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Good experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
  • Strong experience in automating IAC development (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) using AI.
  • Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming languages;
  • Strong understanding of AI implementation in software development and legacy code transformation.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
