Role: Tomcat Administrator (Ansible & OpenShift)
Location: Hybrid Onsite - Dallas TX. Jersey city Nj, Tampa FL
Duration: Long term
- Install, configure, and manage Apache Tomcat servers ac ross development, staging, and production environments.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Java-based applications running on Tomcat, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Automate server provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Ansible playbooks and roles.
- Manage and deploy containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift, including application builds, deployments, and scaling.
- Configure and manage OpenShift resources such as pods, services, routes, and deployments.
- Implement CI/CD integration with tools like Jenkins to support automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Perform performance tuning, JVM tuning, and memory optimization for Tomcat servers.
- Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting for Tomcat and containerized applications.
- Ensure security compliance by implementing SSL, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
- Troubleshoot application, server, and container-related issues in production environments.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Apache Tomcat administration
- Hands-on experience with Ansible automation
- Experience with OpenShift / Kubernetes environments
- Knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar tools)
- Experience with shell scripting or Python scripting
- Familiarity with Docker/containerization concepts
