Job Title: Mid Level Network Engineer- travel required
Duration: 3 Months
Location: Lancaster, PA
44484
Supporting the upcoming world cup tournament for FIFA. Roles will require people to potentially travel to any of the venues at some point if a need arises. One of the roles is a floating position. We would like that person to be based in Lancaster, PA as well with the expectation that they will be traveling frequently. All travel will be paid by the resources upfront and reimbursed with per diems for meals.
Pretty cool opportunity to get involved with the World Cup. Each location has some slight differences, but overall we're looking for strong Cisco Network Engineering generalists that can jump into projects that pop up. They've got a ton of work going on and need the extra hands to support more of the general work because as it stands their senior engineers are getting bogged down with this work and is taking them away from other items that they need to be focused on.
Position Overview:
Provide onsite staging support for the tournament program, including configuration and validation of network equipment and supporting Windows Server DHCP deployment activities. The role is hands-on and execution-focused, with evening/weekend support expected to meet staging timelines.
Key responsibilities
Configure Cisco Catalyst switches (L2/L3) via CLI following provided configuration scripts.
Perform structured troubleshooting (OSI Layer 1 4) to validate staged equipment connectivity and readiness.
Engage with internal stakeholders and customers to clarify issues, confirm requirements, and document outcomes.
Provide onsite support during nights/weekends at the Lititz, PA staging center to meet build and ship milestones.
Support Windows Server 2025 DHCP deployment tasks, including WinOS deployment and iDRAC configuration support as required by the staging process.
Required qualifications
CCNA-level networking capability (certification preferred).
Strong Cisco Catalyst switch configuration and troubleshooting experience (L2/L3, CLI).
Practical troubleshooting skills across LAN connectivity fundamentals (Layer 1 4).
Windows Server DHCP experience (Windows Server 2025 preferred) and comfort working with server management interfaces (e.g., iDRAC).
Preferred qualifications
Experience supporting hardware staging, burn-in, or pre-deployment validation for large-scale rollouts.
Familiarity with documentation-driven build processes and checklists.
