Job Description:
  • The Graphic Designer/Technical Writer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining technical documentation for products associated with design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and distribution.
  • This role works closely with project teams and internal stakeholders to ensure documentation is developed, reviewed, and approved according to project schedules while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate project activities and provide internal customer support.
  • Provide guidance and direction to technical teams as needed.
  • Serve as the primary interface between project teams and the Technical Documentation Department.
  • Act as liaison to the project leader and conduct formal meetings.
  • Track project status and resolve communication barriers.
  • Facilitate the development, review, approval, and updates of documentation according to project schedules.
  • Resolve resource issues related to documentation processing.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain documentation associated with product design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and distribution.
  • Create, write, and edit high-quality technical text and graphics.
  • Use clear grammar, structured writing, and proper punctuation.
  • Utilize desktop publishing tools to produce accurate and efficient documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors or customers.
  • Support publication, preparation, storage, and delivery of documentation.
  • Maintain translated documents, updates, and documentation storage.
  • Maintain departmental tools, processes, and documentation libraries.
  • Maintain desktop publishing tools used for labeling documentation.
  • Support corporate standards and certificate library management.
  • Ensure compliance with quality system processes and procedures.
  • Monitor departmental metrics and performance measures.
  • Analyze and improve documentation practices.
  • Support quality system regulations related to labeling in internal and external audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of direct documentation experience.
  • Experience in medical device, software, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.
  • Experience working on multiple projects within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with international regulatory documentation requirements preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing and online help systems.
  • Experience with illustrating, graphics, and screen capture tools.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to apply business judgment and process understanding.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to present information clearly to teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and electronic document management software.
  • High level of accuracy and quality in documentation work.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Technical Writing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
Should Have:
  • Knowledge of regulatory documentation requirements including FDA, ISO, IVDD, and electronic records control standards.
