About the Position: This is a high-priority, strategic leadership role designed for a Professional Engineer (PE) who has mastered the balance between technical execution and business operations. We are looking for a Senior PM or Vice President-level professional who is ready to manage complex projects, oversee daily operations, and actively "win work." You will leverage a strong production background to provide a solid foundation for project success while driving the firm's growth through strategic business development and client management.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Oversee firm operations, ensuring project teams are supported, resources are allocated efficiently, and production standards remain high.
Project Management: Lead high-value projects from inception to completion, maintaining direct oversight of technical quality, budgets, and schedules.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new project opportunities; lead the "win work" initiative by leveraging industry relationships and technical expertise.
Team Mentorship: Supervise and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
Strategic Planning: Work closely with executive leadership to align engineering capabilities with market demands and firm growth goals.
Market Representative: Serve as a primary face of the firm to clients, agencies, and partners across our core service areas.
Required Qualifications

Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is strictly required.
Experience: Extensive experience in engineering project management with a proven track record of advancing into senior management or operational leadership roles.
Technical Background: Deep production experience in one or more of the following core areas:
Transportation: Highway and roadway design.
Structural Design: Specialized expertise in bridge design and infrastructure.
Water/Wastewater: Treatment and conveyance system design.
Private Site Design: Land development and site engineering.
Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage project financials, negotiate contracts, and successfully secure new work.
Communication: Exceptional leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership Tenure: Previous experience in a VP or Principal-level role within a mid-to-large civil engineering firm.
Market Presence: An established network of clients and agency contacts within the firm's geographic footprint.
