- Maintain full readiness to take over control when the system disengages smoothly and without over-correction.
Data Collection & Equipment Handling:
- Operate in-vehicle DAQ (Data Acquisition) systems: start/stop logs, event tagging, monitoring sensors, and simple debugging.
- Follow daily test plans, perform vehicle readiness checks, and ensure high-quality data capture.
Feedback & Observation
- Provide structured, objective feedback about vehicle behavior, near-miss situations, system hesitation, or unexpected actions.
- Identify environment types that commonly challenge AD systems (e.g., sharp curves, elevation changes, pedestrian crossings).
Data Analytics & Safety Evaluation
- Analyze human-driving vs. AD system driving behavior.
- Support investigations of Safety interventions, Non-collision safety-related events and Potential collision scenarios
- Contribute to defining scenario-based metrics for German/European driving conditions (e.g., Autobahn merging, roundabouts, bike lanes).
- Assist with data-driven decisions based on large datasets.
Basic Qualifications (Need to Have):
- 2+ years of driving or vehicle testing experience (university projects acceptable).
- High situational awareness and ability to multitask while driving.
