Work Location: Hybrid - one day a month onsite
Candidate Location: No SC residency required. Open to nationwide candidates. (Must be willing to be onsite to Columbia, SC once per month and work EST hours).
This is a part-time role - the resource will work 20-30 hours per/week. The resource will be expected to work between 9AM - 5PM however this is flexible if the work is getting done. The team meets once per week for around 1.5 hours to review weekly duties.
W2 Contract
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This position requires the candidate to be engaged exclusively on Maxpath Technologies’ W2 payroll. Engagements via 1099 or third-party/sub-vendor or Corp-to-Corp arrangements are not accepted.
SharePoint development. Intimate working knowledge of SharePoint, cloud version.
Ability to perform and understand site creations, permissions as well as the following:
1. SharePoint Platform & Architecture
β Understands SharePoint Online architecture (sites, hubs, libraries)
β Can design hub-and-spoke intranet models
β Defines site vs. page vs. Teams vs. subsite use cases
β Experience with site templates and provisioning strategies
β Understands metadata, content types, and document management
2. Governance Alignment
β Designs solutions using standard templates
β Understands permission models (least privilege)
β Incorporates site lifecycle and ownership planning
β Avoids “one-off” custom solutions
β Documents solutions for long-term support
3. Modern Development
β Experience with SharePoint Framework
β Uses React / TypeScript for web parts
β Builds reusable components (not single-use code)
β Understands deployment, packaging, and versioning
4. Power Platform (PRIMARY DELIVERY MODEL)
β Builds workflows using Power Automate
β Creates business apps using Power Apps
β Knows when to use Power Platform vs. SPFx
β Experience replacing manual processes with automation
5. Integration & APIs
