Senior Database Administrator for Randstad Digital, LLC. Multiple openings. Headquarters: Woburn, MA. Administer, test, design, deploy on-premises and cloud database environments and systems, architect high availability and disaster recovery solutions and applications using replication. Perform task maintenance, upgrades, patching, backups, restores, provisioning, configuration across hybrid environments, archiving, indexing, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, scripting. Review performance, data integrity, monitoring and alerting solutions, tuning, databases, queries, installations, buffer pools, memory, storage, system resources, project planning, requirements, code, capacity planning, security, credentials, audits, compliance, anomalies, engine versions, CPU, encryption, access control, vulnerabilities, remediations. Develop automation scripts, database clustering, mirroring, failover strategies, components, modules, pipelines, workflows, schemas, technical documentation. Automate build and deployment, conduct incident resolution, collaborate with vendors, evaluate emerging database technologies and features. Satisfy client/user needs, recommend database modifications. Use IaaS, DBaaS, Linux, Shell, PowerShell, Python, Prometheus, Graana, SolarWinds, AWS, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Bash, IaC, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, CI/CD, RBAC, MarkLogic, XQuery, SQL, MLCP, CORB, Visual Studio Code, Git. 40 hrs/wk Must have Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, and 2 years experience in the proffered position or as a Developer, Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the specified fields plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the specified occupations. Must have 2 years of experience administering on-premises and cloud environments; architecting high availability and disaster recovery solutions; using replication; performing upgrades, patching, backups, restores, scripting; reviewing performance, monitoring and alerting solutions, databases, queries, buffer pools, memory, storage, requirements, code, security, audits, encryption, access control, vulnerabilities, remediations, deployment; using Linux, Shell, PowerShell, Python, AWS, Terraform, MarkLogic, XQuery, MLCP, CORB. Must be willing to travel/relocate to unanticipated locations throughout the US on short notice for extended periods of time. Telecommuting permitted. $139,000/yr.
