Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead large-scale SAP transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA migrations, within a global enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience managing complex SAP programs in process industry environments, with life sciences or pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
This role will oversee Agile delivery across multiple SAP workstreams, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive successful program execution while ensuring alignment between business stakeholders, product teams, and technology organizations.
Key Duties
Lead large-scale SAP transformation programs, including SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration initiatives.
Serve as Release Train Engineer (RTE) facilitating Agile Release Trains across multiple SAP delivery teams.
Coordinate delivery across SAP functional and technical teams including SAP ERP, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, and eCommerce platforms.
Drive program planning, PI planning, release management, and roadmap alignment for SAP initiatives.
Manage project timelines, scope, budget, risk mitigation, and resource planning for SAP programs.
Ensure successful integration between SAP systems and enterprise platforms.
Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams.
Identify and resolve program risks, impediments, and cross-team dependencies.
Support Agile transformation initiatives, promoting SAFe principles and Agile best practices.
Ensure compliance with regulated industry standards where applicable (GxP environments preferred).
Provide regular status reporting and executive updates on program health, milestones, and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in IT Project or Program Management.
Strong experience delivering SAP implementation or migration programs.
Proven experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
Experience working as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or leading Agile Release Trains.
Hands-on experience coordinating delivery across SAP functional and technical teams.
Experience managing large enterprise transformation programs.
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Experience working with Agile, SAFe, and DevOps delivery models.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device industries.
Experience in process industry environments (manufacturing, chemicals, pharma, etc.).
Knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP Supply Chain, SAP Commerce (Hybris), or related SAP platforms.
Familiarity with regulated environments such as GxP.
Certifications such as:
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)
PMP or PgMP
