About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise cryptography, cryptographic asset management, and security engineering. In this role, you will lead technical evaluations, proof-of-concept initiatives, and implementation planning efforts focused on cryptographic discovery, cryptographic posture management, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate lifecycle management, and post-quantum cryptography readiness.
You will work cross-functionally with security architects, engineering teams, technology vendors, and business stakeholders to evaluate emerging cryptographic technologies, validate enterprise-scale capabilities, and support strategic security modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities- Lead technical evaluations and due diligence activities for cryptographic discovery and cryptographic posture management platforms.
- Review, assess, and score vendor solutions based on technical capabilities, scalability, security requirements, and operational fit.
- Design, develop, and execute proof-of-concept (POC) environments and pilot programs to validate solution effectiveness.
- Evaluate cryptographic asset discovery coverage across certificates, encryption keys, protocols, PKI environments, HSMs, and related cryptographic infrastructure.
- Validate integrations with enterprise systems, data sources, and security platforms to ensure accurate inventory management and ownership attribution.
- Assess implementation requirements, architecture alignment, operational readiness, and long-term sustainability of proposed solutions.
- Develop technical recommendations, architecture guidance, and implementation roadmaps for executive and engineering leadership.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support deployment planning, onboarding activities, and production adoption.
- Contribute to post-quantum cryptography readiness assessments and migration planning initiatives.
- Drive strategic discussions and influence technical decisions related to enterprise cryptography and security architecture.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Experience with cryptography, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, or cryptographic asset management.
- Experience evaluating enterprise software solutions and conducting technical assessments.
- Experience developing and executing proof-of-concept or pilot programs.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and enterprise security principles.
- Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and deliver scalable, practical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with cryptographic discovery and cryptographic posture management platforms.
- Expertise in PKI, trust services, certificate authorities, and certificate management solutions.
- Experience with key management systems (KMS), Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and cryptographic controls.
- Knowledge of security architecture, identity and access management, and enterprise security frameworks.
- Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography concepts, standards, and migration strategies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise or highly regulated environments.
