Role Senior Technical Project Manager
Duration 12+ Months
Location Remote (Local Memphis, TN or Nearby)
I'm hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager for a high-visibility infrastructure initiative in Memphis, TN / Remote.
This is a 12-month contract engagement with compensation open based on experience. We are looking for a highly experienced PM who brings strong executive presence, accountability, and the ability to lead complex enterprise technology initiatives.
Minimum requirements — candidates must meet ALL of the following:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- 10+ years managing enterprise-wide IT projects as the accountable Project Manager
- Active PMP certification
- Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams without direct authority
- Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills
- Experience managing project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, risks/issues, governance, and executive reporting
- Stable assignment history with the ability to commit to the full engagement
- Must reside and work within the continental U.S.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
Highly preferred experience:
- Enterprise infrastructure / Technology Services projects
- Portfolio-level governance, prioritization, and intake
- Telecom / VoIP
- Microsoft Intune and endpoint management
- Azure / cloud services
- Networking, wireless, virtualization, and data center initiatives
- Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, and hybrid environments
- Healthcare or academic research environments
- ServiceNow PPM, Azure DevOps, or JIRA
This is not a coordinator, Scrum Master, or administrative PM role. We're looking for a senior leader who can command executive meetings, challenge assumptions, drive accountability, manage difficult scope decisions, and take ownership of project outcomes.
