Summary

Description

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network environments in Phoenix, Arizona. This Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong experience in routing, firewall administration, and core network infrastructure who can help maintain secure, reliable connectivity. The role will focus on delivering hands-on network engineering support, troubleshooting complex issues, and improving overall network performance.

Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, and optimize Cisco routing infrastructure to support stable and efficient network operations.
Administer Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewall platforms, including policy updates, security rule management, and access control improvements.
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity, latency, and routing issues across enterprise environments.
Manage and troubleshoot Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations to ensure reliable external and internal route exchange.
Provide technical support for Cisco-based networking environments, including switches, routers, and related hardware.
Document network configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting activities to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
Partner with internal technical teams to implement network changes, strengthen security posture, and minimize service disruptions.

Requirements

Proven experience working as a Network Engineer in enterprise or large-scale infrastructure environments.
Hands-on expertise with Cisco routers and broader Cisco networking technologies.
Strong working knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall administration and security policy management.
Experience supporting Cisco ASA firewall environments.
Solid understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and routing best practices.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network performance and connectivity problems.
Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills in technical team settings.
