Brief Role Description

Maintain, further, and enhance existing machine learning modules for autonomous vehicles, including methods around industrialization of MaaS/TaaS; design and implement new machine learning based approaches based on existing frameworks; test developed modules in the prototype vehicle (unit tests, integration tests, in-vehicle/field tests, etc.); analyze and evaluate conducted tests; present project/progress reports and presentations to top management, mentors, partners, and project affiliates; transfer technologies and solutions to ADMT GmbH, CARIAD; manage and coordinate the tech scouting process; expand research network between ADMT LLC and local entities; initiate and implement partnerships with external partners (companies, research institutions, universities) within Silicon Valley and US; transfer project outcomes to internal partners; secure intellectual property; keep up to speed with the state of the art of academic research and technology in the industry. Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, credentials or certifications, industry-based experience, qualification and training. In Belmont, CA the salary range for this position is $213,512-$248,900. Full-time position, hybrid.

Qualification requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent and 84 months of experience. Experience must have included: Deep Neural Network Learning, Computer Vision and Machine Learning; Python and TensorFlow; generating features from sensor technology like camera, lidar, radar, GPS/ D-GPS and HD maps; data gathering, data quality, system architecture, coding best practices; extracting high level logical structure from low level, multi-dimensional data; Neural Networks such as CNNs, RNN, LSTMs, reinforcement and imitation learning paradigms and the latest research trends; specification/documentation of interfaces between software modules; programming languages/tools such as C++, Python, Git, Linux; data structures and algorithms; open source libraries such as OpenCV, CUDA; project management. Domestic and international travel up to 10%.
