Job Description
We are seeking a Sample Processing Technician - Medallion Lab to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in laboratory sample processing, comminution techniques, and LIMS data entry and a proven ability to execute accurate, high-volume sample preparation to support reliable lab testing.
Responsibilities:
- Follow preparation techniques for processing samples for lab testing using grinding mills and other comminution tools including blenders, small grinders, and liquid nitrogen.
- Ensure accurate labeling of sample cups with assigned unique identifiers.
- Record preparation techniques and delivery details in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Split duties between sample processing and dishroom operations to maintain glassware cleanliness for all lab groups.
- Coordinate with lab teams to clean and return glassware per specific needs and maintain an organized drop-off and return area.
- Maintain organization of samples by accurate delivery, storage, and disposal as required.
- Execute third-party lab submissions by logging samples and preparing shipments.
- Follow all lab safety and quality requirements including PPE, GMP, OSHA, and ISO procedures. Steel toe shoes are required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting and/or AS or BS in a science-related field.
- Proficiency with LIMS and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for 5-6 hours daily while using required PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize.
Preferred Skills:
- Broad knowledge of food testing services and comminution techniques.
- Effective written and verbal communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Flexibility in daily tasks, proactive mindset, and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Details
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, onsite. Two shifts: 7:00-3:00 and 9:00-5:00. Alternating shifts during the week, availability for both required.
Start Date: 06/09/2025.
Allergen Statement: Role involves potential exposure and contact with common food, environmental, and chemical allergens.
Equipment: Onsite computer technology and access provided by client. No personal laptop required.
