Job Summary (List Format):
- Define and oversee scalable system architectures integrating hardware, software, firmware, automation, data, workflows, imaging pipelines, interfaces, and infrastructure for high-performance, market-ready systems.
- Lead integration strategies across hardware, software, and data into unified imaging platforms.
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to capture and maintain requirements, system behaviors, interfaces, and constraints.
- Translate clinical, business, and regulatory requirements into clear system requirements and architectural solutions.
- Ensure architectural alignment with platform and portfolio strategy, supporting configuration, reuse, and scalability.
- Evaluate and recommend architecture options and build-vs-buy decisions, considering technical, financial, operational, and risk factors.
- Lead design reviews, facilitate technical discussions, and conduct trade studies to optimize system performance, reliability, cost, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to align architecture with portfolio and business goals.
- Drive the use of modeling, simulation, and prototyping to validate architecture and reduce integration risks early in development.
- Establish and promote best practices for solution definition, technical communication, and market alignment.
- Maintain strong systems engineering practices, including MBSE and requirements management.
- Support hardware/software integration, system modeling, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and Sim-to-Real testing and prototyping.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and technical decision-making abilities.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
- Preferably possess advanced experience with regulated development frameworks (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304), modeling tools, digital thread concepts, and system-level verification and validation (V&V) strategies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant STEM field; 7+ years (preferably 10+) experience in systems architecture or product development within medical imaging, medical devices, or other regulated industries.
