Technology Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration - 6-month contract

Job Responsibilities
  • Building out new AI tools for the marketing team-specifically, an agentic tool that allows marketers to build their own web pages by interacting with an agent. Responsibilities include gathering feature requirements from marketing teams and working closely with engineering to bring them to life.
  • Running smaller AI-driven web pilots (A/B testing, ABC testing) on the website by setting up scenarios with marketing and engineering.

Background / Domain:
    • Experience in AI/ML, product tool building, or the AI space strongly translates.
    • Prior experience working on Google marketing or product websites is a major plus ("miles ahead").
    • Candidates with a product management background in tool building fit well; ad product experience or specific ads domain expertise is not required.

Technical & Tooling Skills:
    • No coding or hands-on programming required. The engineers handle the technical backend.
    • Must be comfortable talking to technical experts (engineers and data scientists) without being intimidated and be able to hold their own in technical conversations.
    • No requirement for deep knowledge of specific project management software (like Asana) or GA measurement dashboards, as a dedicated TPM and analytics team will handle those tactical pieces.
    • Familiarity with prototyping on their own using AI tools is a strong positive indicator.

Key Responsibilities & Challenges
  • Prioritization & Pushback: Due to high internal enthusiasm for the tool, the candidate must be able to cut through competing feature requests, evaluate impact (revenue, productivity, usage), establish clear rationales, and stand firm on recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acting as a strategic partner balancing technical realities with frequent marketing stakeholder alignment. Good design sensibility (understanding what makes a strong, brand-compliant landing page) is helpful.
