Job Title: Hardware Quality Engineer
Job Summary:

Busek is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hardware Quality Engineer to join our growing team. The MQA Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process in the manufacturing of aerospace and propulsion systems, ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards and comply with customer requirements. This position involves working closely with production teams, engineers, and external suppliers to identify and address quality issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance Oversight: Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to company quality standards, ensuring the highest level of product integrity and performance.
  • Inspection and Testing: Develop and execute inspection and testing protocols to evaluate materials, components, and final products. Utilize measurement tools and equipment to validate conformity with engineering specifications.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause investigations for quality issues and implement corrective actions. Work cross-functionally with design, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality problems and minimize defects.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, equipment, and workflows to optimize quality and efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, testing, and quality control processes. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Work with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet specifications and quality standards. Participate in audits and assessments to ensure supplier quality compliance.
  • Product Certification and Compliance: Ensure that products meet all relevant certifications, such as ISO, AS9100, or customer-specific quality standards.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to manufacturing teams on quality procedures and best practices. Act as a resource for quality-related questions and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in aerospace, propulsion, or manufacturing environments.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in quality assurance tools, methodologies, and inspection techniques.
    • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar.
    • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
    • Experience with CAD software and familiarity with aerospace engineering practices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with aerospace or propulsion manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) and materials science.
  • Certification in quality management or quality engineering (CQE, Six Sigma, etc.).
